Penthouse suites are impressive but unnecessary for a great experience. What matters is cleanliness, a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, and a relaxed atmosphere. A clean standard room in a quality hotel delivers the same experience as a penthouse. If you want to impress, a nice bottle of wine and a tidy room outperform a penthouse with laundry on the floor. Spend on the companion, not the room upgrade.
