You do not need to tell anyone specifically what you are doing, but general safety awareness is sensible. You are at your own hotel which is already a controlled environment. If you are visiting an incall location for the first time, sharing your location with a trusted friend is reasonable. The companion likely does the same. Dubai is extremely safe but both parties taking basic precautions is professional and mature. Once you have an established relationship with a companion, this becomes unnecessary.
